Do you wear professional attire?
Absolutely, I can wear a full to partial tuxedo, a dress suit or just casual dress.
Do you charge a set up fee?
No, typically I arrive about an hour prior to your scheduled start time and will be set up before your first guest arrives. The set up and break down time is my time and you are not charged for it.
Can you provide ceremony music?
Yes, if I am needed to play music for the ceremony as well, this can be pre-arranged but will be factored into the cost.
Can we bring in special music we want to hear if it is not on your list?
Absolutely! Although my music library is quite extensive, I don’t have every song. I will gladly play any appropriate music that you’d like to supply me with and at the end of the evening I will promptly return it to you.
How far in advance should we reserve our date?
If your wedding is during peak wedding season (June, July, August) I would suggest booking at least one year in advance. If you’re planning a party, it’s still a good idea to book a DJ as soon as you can (4-6 months in advance) so that way you’re not scrambling towards the end trying to find a DJ.
What does it take to secure a date?
A 25% deposit is required to hold your date along with a signed contract that will give you the peace of mind that you have a DJ secured for your event.
Will you take requests?
Certainly, but within the parameters previously set by the client. So if someone requests “The Chicken Dance” and it is on the DO NOT PLAY list, it will not get played. I provide request sheets and will play the requested songs if time allows and if they are appropriate.
Do you have professional equipment?
Yes, I have professional Numark DJ CD players and mixers, QSC and Mackie amplifiers, Yamaha professional club series speakers, Peavey and JBL professional speakers, powered Mackie sub-woofers, wireless microphones (including lapel) and a mutiple piece lighting system which includes a classic mirror ball, intelligent lighting, spot lighting and multi color lights that move to the beat of the music. I always make sure that the appropriate equipment is used for your event.
What is your cancellation policy?
A cancellation will not be accepted within thirty (30) days prior to the date of the event. If the event is cancelled within this window of time, the Client is required to pay the DJ the balance due.
What if we need additional time?
You may request additional time on or before the day of your event with an additional cost depending on the event.
